INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY CASE STUDIES

Over the years we've successfully completed major industrial electricity projects for the following companies:

WONDER BREAD COMPANY

  • Expanded production facility and built new volt substation (4000 amp)
  • Upgraded substation size by 4000 amps
  • Designed and implemented new power factor correction system

DREYERS

  • Designed and built distribution system and amp service to expand the plant
  • Built new machine room and plant control area
  • Installed new equipment to conserve energy

PRIME MACHINE

  • Installed new 6000-amp service to better meet the needs of customers
  • Worked on new office lighting and shop facilities
  • Replaced mechanical controls

TRULITE GLASS

  • Installed new 4000-amp service
  • Installed new power cabinets to accommodate their new glass oven.
  • Various electrical upgrades along with LED lighting upgrades in both of their plants in Salt Lake City, UT.

TELECOM & DATA ELECTRICAL SERVICES ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT

Internet Patch Cord Cables — Salt Lake City, UT — Central Electric, Inc.

Marriott Hotel (35 South West Temple, Salt Lake City)

  • Completed Cat-6 and fiber upgrade of phone and data cabling systems in 530 rooms on schedule
  • Provided cabling, testing, and certifications on all lines and necessary terminations and installed all equipment
  • Installed wireless internet cabling on all floors, as well as a new cabling structure for an HDTV system which included RG-11 and RG-6 cabling, termination, testing, and certification

Snelgroves Ice Cream (Dreyers)

  • Installed data, phone, communications, and industrial control cabling and system management installation

Wheeler Machine (Salt Lake City campus)

  • Provided Fiber distribution structure and termination on the entire campus

Wal-Mart of Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada

  • Installed CATV cabling, cameras, and equipment in numerous stores to upgrade security systems

  • Installed data and security lines to ATM locations in each store

  • Provided cabling to security cameras and product security door monitors and product management sites

Technician Examining Fusebox — Salt Lake City, UT — Central Electric, Inc.

Intermountain Wood Products

  • Designed and built a new sales office building and counter area
  • Redesigned and installed lighting in the corporate offices and production floor areas
  • Designed and installed a new backup power system and generator for main facility
  • Designed and installed electrical for wood drying building and air exchange system
  • Redesigned and reworked the power distribution system and lighting in lumber warehouse and shipping areas

Forest Products

  • Full design build of their new production building

LANDesk Software and Data Services

Designed and installed a secure data storage facility power system which included:

  • 100 KVA of UPS units and distribution
  • 500 KVA generator and transfer switch
  • All vertical distribution to equipment closets
  • Installation of video monitoring and networking equipment

Hammerton Lighting Manufacturing

  • 2007 – Corrected power system problems and installed production area equipment
  • 2008 – Designed and built a new 120,000 sq. ft. production facility and offices. Relocated production facility on critical shutdown schedule to allow continuous flow of product
  • Designed and built a control system for air handling system in spray booth and production floor area

Additionally, we've also done significant engineering projects for Wonder Bread (Continental Baking Co.) and Snelgroves Ice Cream (Dreyers), both in Salt Lake City, UT.
